Young guns like Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler seem positively ancient compared to 19-year-old amateur Patrick Cantlay, who put together a year to remember in the span of a couple weeks. Cantlay, a star at UCLA, qualified for the U.S. Open and finished up as the low amateur and tied for 21st place at even-par 284. The very next week at the Travelers Championship, he became the first amateur ever to card a 60 on the PGA Tour. That gave him a four-shot lead at the time, and he went on to finish at 11 under and tied for 24th place.
