  • TaylorMade's R11 irons are engineered for the player who appreciates the shape and refinement of a tour-grade iron but needs the help of advanced technology to launch the ball high and straight. These irons feature a red precision-weighting port that helps guarantee a precise swingweight and ensure center-face Center of Gravity location in every iron for consistent feel and performance. The irons' ultra-thin face construction promotes faster ball speed and distance in long and middle irons, while progressive shaping makes the longer irons more forgiving, and the shorter irons more compact and workable.
  • Ping's G20 irons are designed to hit the ball long with forgiveness and distance control. Extreme perimeter weighting in the deep, multi-cavity design makes the 17-4 stainless steel heads highly forgiving. A multi-material cavity badge made with soft elastomer heel and toe sections improves feel and sound. The cavity's floating CTP structure stabilizes a thin face to generate fast ball speeds and distance with control. Combined with Ping's new CFS (Control, Feel, Stability) steel shaft, the G20 optimizes feel, trajectories and distance gaps for more consistency.
  • Miura's new Limited Forged Black Blade irons are the latest version of the popular muscleback Miura Tournament Blade irons, but with a distinctive no-glare, flat-black finish with a surface texture that's pleasing to the touch. The black finish is the same as on the Miura Black wedges and, like the wedges, these irons will show gradual, desirable wear with repeated use. The settling-in of the finish will differ slightly for every player, but in general the black finish will mature over time to a silvery gray, mostly on the center of the clubface and on the sole, starting at the leading edge.
  • The versatile blade design of the new Ping S56 irons appeals to players who put a premium on shot control. A steel body with variable tungsten toe weighting positions the Center of Gravity for higher-launching long irons and more controlled short irons. The bars that makes up the clubs' Stabilizing Bar Technology are narrow in the long irons to help produce faster ball speeds, and get wider through the short irons to generate penetrating, controlling trajectories. A machined face and grooves ensure consistent performance and precise control.
  • The new RAZR X Tour Irons are designed for low-to-mid handicap players looking for a next-generation combination of playability and workability. The clubs' RAZR Technology provides the optimal balance of distance, accuracy and feel with tour-inspired styling by shifting the Center of Gravity 23% lower and 18% deeper for enhanced playability. A refined VFT Face and High-Definition Undercut cavity are tailored to each individual iron, resulting in more consistent ball speeds across the face for more distance and accuracy, even on mis-hits. SRP: $879 per set.
  • Engineered to meet the demands of better players, the Idea Pro Black CB1 Irons feature tour-styled forged carbon steel heads with a dramatic nickel chromium-plated black finish. A precision-milled cavity and precisely located Center of Gravity deliver a mid-high launch and penetrating ball flight, while milled grooves maximize spin from all playing conditions. A beveled trailing edge reduces turf interaction, while a constant offset throughout delivers seamless performance and control through the entire set. SRP: $999 per set.
  • The new Tour Preferred MB irons are finely wrought muscleback blades expressly designed for the purist. The clubs are forged in a six-step process that produces a more precisely shaped and finished head, while a thin topline, thin sole, straight leading edge, minimal offset and tapered hosel work in conjunction to promote the kind of pure face-to-ball connection sought after by skilled players. The TPMBs also incorporate TaylorMade's new precision-weighting port in the back of the clubhead to guarantee precise swingweights while ensuring optimal and consistent Center of Gravity location.
  • The Passing Point concept is Miura's recognition of golfers' lifelong steps toward improvement. In the Miura tradition of melding functional design with an artistic eye, Miura crafted a wider sole to help with effective turf interaction. The offset flows naturally into the clubhead to preserve a confident look at address, but still benefit players who need some help squaring the clubface at impact. And the cavity assigns just the right amount of weight to the most effective places in the head to help produce a high, soft-landing flight that holds its line and never balloons. SRP: $225 per iron.
  • Where Titleist's AP1 irons are considered game-improvement clubs, the AP2 irons are built for advanced and tour-level players. They feature a forged steel body, with a high-density tungsten nickel sole box to reduce low-frequency vibration for soft, solid feel. The integrated aluminum and soft elastomer Tuned Feel System in the back cavity also improves sound and feel at impact, while the dual cavity design pushes weight to the perimeter for playability without loss of shot-shaping control. Additionally, the bounce is reduced on the short irons for improved ground contact. SRP: $142 per iron (steel)
  • In its fifth generation of the Di iron franchise, the new Di11 irons feature modifications and updates in virtually every performance area, all designed to deliver added power and greater accuracy for players looking for more distance and more forgiveness. The irons' sweet spot is 36 percent larger than those on competitors' models, Wilson says, and its modified exoskeleton pulls weight low and back in the clubhead to promote a higher ball flight and greater head stability. In addition, Wilson's patented wide-tip shaft technology negates the twisting on these off-center hits.
  • Cleveland designed its CG16 Black Pearl irons with a lighter overall weight and longer length for maximum distance. The large cavity back, with its full undercut, stretches the Center of Gravity low and deep to optimize launch angle and significantly improve forgiveness. The large, thin face is laser milled and features Cleveland's Tour Zip Grooves for both increased ball speed and control, while the wide sole promotes consistent turf interaction. The CG16 irons come in either a Black Pearl or Satin Chrome finish.
  • Adams Golf bills its new Idea Black CB2 irons as a "world class" set of eight irons (4-PW) designed to deliver performance and workability with forgiveness. They are forged from soft 8620 carbon steel to deliver responsive feel, and their vibration-absorbing cavity design provides enhanced feel and sound. Dual perimeter weighting increases forgiveness and lowers the center of gravity, and their four-way cambered, mid-width sole reduces turf interaction for consistent ballstriking. The CB2s also feature a progressive offset that optimizes trajectories and distance through the entire set.
  • Cobra's goal with the S3 Max irons was to make them even more forgiving, and with a higher launch to aid the games of mid- to high-handicap players. To accomplish this, the clubs feature a low-profile design that shifts the Center of Gravity low and back in the stainless steel head. A railed, powerback sole improves turf interaction for more consistency and power at contact, and the heads are designed to provide consistent and reliable distances from one club to the next.
  • The RAZR X irons feature Callaway's proprietary RAZR Technology, which shifts the center of gravity lower and deeper in the clubhead, offering increased shotmaking from more places on the course. The Tour models (shown, left) offer a more compact head shape with less offset and a thinner topline for the workability and sleek look preferred by better players, while the Forged set (shown, right) features a tour-inspired head shape with a higher, squared-off toe, sharper leading edge, thin top line, narrow sole and short blade length. RAZR X MSRP $699 (steel) and $899 (graphite), RAZR X Tour MSRP $799 (steel), RAZR X Forged MSPR $899 (steel).
  • Forged from 1025 carbon steel with bright chrome plating, Titleist's CB irons feature constant but slightly longer blade lengths and a softer topline for visual confidence at address. An optimized cavity muscle provides more mass behind the impact area to achieve soft, solid feel, and this weighting also produces consistent launch angle, backspin and ball speed to help provide precise distance and shot control. The full cavity CB set also provides more stability and forgiveness and a slightly higher ball flight than the Titleist MB irons. SRP: $135 per iron (steel) or $159 per iron (graphite)
  • Designed for low to mid handicap players, the J38 Cavity Back irons feature midsize clubheads forged of 1020 carbon steel. A magnesium composite enhances the heads' perimeter weighting for more forgiveness on off-center hits and dampens vibration for better feel, while trailing edge and leading edge relief makes for better performance from a variety of lies. The clubs also boast a tapered sole design for versatility in shotmaking.
  • A spinoff of KZG's Forged Evolution irons, the high-performance EC-II line is designed with features for the low-to-mid handicap player wanting a seamless progression through his set of clubs. The EC-IIs progress from a mid-size cavity back in the longest irons to a muscle back in the shortest wedge; each club is 10 different than the adjacent loft. The thin top line and clean look were created to appeal to traditionalists seeking a classically shaped head, and a special heat-treating process on its proprietary steel alloy gives these irons what KZG calls "the feel of forged" at far less than the cost of a true forging.
  • The CG16 Tour irons are an all-around player's set made for serious golfers who demand solid feel, accuracy and workability as well as a touch of forgiveness. The modest cavity back, with its engineered undercut, improves ball speed, accuracy and even distance on mis-hits. These high-end clubs feature a tour-preferred address shape, progressive offset and low, deep Center of Gravity location for improved control and workability. The CG16 Tour irons come with Cleveland's Tour Zip Grooves for both increased ball speed and control, and are available in either a Black Pearl or Satin Chrome finish.
  • The Idea Tech V3 continues Adams' line of high-performance hybrid iron sets, and feature dramatic nickel chromium-plated and physical vapor deposition (PVD) black finishes. In both the forged and all-hybrid configurations, the V3s feature strategically placed tungsten weighting in the stainless steel heads for enhanced forgiveness and spin. A four-way cambered sole and recessed heel and toe areas reduce turf drag for superior playability and versatility, and the ultra-thin face produces a hotter ball flight and more distance than previous models.
  • By incorporating a compact, shallow cavity, TaylorMade's TPMC irons are designed to deliver the feel and workability of a forging plus a degree of added stability with a shape that appeals to the better player's eye. The clubs feature a thin topline, straighter leading edge and a sole that is less cambered and moderate to narrow in thickness to prevent digging. The advanced groove design promotes more spin and control from the rough, and TaylorMade's precision-weighting port guarantees precise swingweights in every clubhead to promote optimized ball flight.
  • Maruman's super-premium irons boast an innovative clubhead structure with a low center of gravity. The forgiving head design provides more forgiveness, giving golfers with a sense of security and allowing them to play more aggressively. The flagship Majesty Vanquish VR set includes eight irons running from 5-iron through sand wedge.
  • What sets the Grain Flow Forged MP-53 irons apart is an innovative CNC milled Pocket Cavity (in the 3- through 7-irons) that removes 14 grams of weight, which is then strategically redistributed around the cavity to achieve what Mizuno says is the largest sweetspot ever in an MP iron. The 8-iron through pitching wedge utilize a Solid Power Bar design, further enhancing solid feel while providing enhanced control and workability. In addition, these game-improvement irons include a 360-degree grind on the back cavity for increased shotmaking ability, and provide a thinner top line for an eye-pleasing look at address.
  • Cobra's new S3 irons feature E9 Face Technology, which creates a progressive "Sweet Zone" designed around the impact patterns of typical golfers. This is achieved by combining a thin, hot face design with multi-material technology and a stepped crescent sole, which collectively optimizes all-around performance in each individual iron. The clubs' new cavity design changes the Sweet Zone from elliptical in the long irons to oval in the mid-irons and to circular in the short irons. Additionally, the face thickness of each club is optimized to provide the kind of feel that golfers seek in each of their irons. SRP: $745 (steel), $875 (graphite)
  • Designed with a two-piece head, the TPCB's advanced construction melds a forged face with a cast body that incorporates an undercut cavity to deliver the feel of a forged iron and the forgiveness of a deep cavityback. The TPCB boasts the most stability of all of TaylorMade's new irons and that, combined with its Inverted Cone Technology -- which promotes faster ball speed on off-center hits -- helps make the TPCB extremely forgiving for consistent distance from shot to shot. These irons also feature advanced groove design for more spin and control, and consistent swingweight throughout the set.
  • Building on the technology of the original AP irons, Titleist's new AP1 irons are game-improvement clubs featuring a multi-material, dual-cavity design. These new irons reduce the harsh lower-frequency vibration that causes poor feel, thanks in part to a co-molded medallion of soft elastomer and aluminum plate. Extensive improvements to the new AP1 structure include reducing the face thickness to provide enhanced heel, toe, and deep weighting to the frame and moving the tungsten nickel material to the sole for increased stability and forgiveness. SRP: $100 per iron (steel) or $125 per iron (graphite)
  • Cleveland Golf's CG7 irons feature a one-piece, injection-molded, lightweight visco-elastic insert that covers the base of the clubhead and the perimeter of its cavity. This provides vibration dampening across the entire face for superior feel, even on off-center hits. Progressively sized microcavities decrease in length from the long irons to the short irons to help enhance distance, ballspeed and accuracy. The clubs also have Cleveland's Precise Laser Milled face texture, which increases surface roughness to help maximize spin.
  • Like the J38 Cavity Back irons, Bridgestone's J38 Pocket Cavity forged irons are designed for low to mid handicap players. The distinguishing feature of these clubs is the dual pocket cavity on the back of the clubhead that removes some weight to the perimeter for more forgiveness while providing more mass directly behind the hitting area for better feel. The clubs also boast a tapered sole design for versatility in shotmaking, and trailing edge and leading edge relief makes for better performance from a variety of lies.
  • The faces on the tour-level VR Pro Blades are the most exact iron faces Nike Golf has ever created. These new flatback irons utilize a new precision-forging technique that eliminates most hand work and ensures consistency and maximum performance throughout the set. Each VR Pro Blade iron also features the new x3x high frequency grooves that result in a cleaner, more consistent ball flight and spin and, because more grooves are closer together and deeper on the clubface, the VR Pro Blades boast more control and consistency in all conditions.
  • The FG62 blades debut as the latest in Wilson's line of classic forged irons. The muscleback FG62s, a companion to the cavity-back FG Tour model, are molded from soft 8620 Mild Carbon Steel that delivers soft feedback at impact. The delicate balance of top-line thickness, offset, blade length and blade shape are in harmony to suit the eyes of the blade player. A lower muscleback position widens the sole and strategically moves the center of gravity lower for improved launch angle and ball flight control, while a mildly cambered sole features meticulously rounded edges to lower the leading edge to improve ground interaction for less digging.
  • Ping's new Anser Irons represent the company's first forged design in more than 40 years. Combining an 8620 steel body and tungsten sole, the Anser features a machined face and grooves for improved spin and control. Its hollow-sole cavity design softens the feel and positions the center of gravity to generate higher-launching iron shots. The progressive set design offers forgiveness in the long irons and greater control in the short irons.
  • The CG7 Tour Black Pearl irons feature more stability than traditional irons for increased forgiveness on off-center hits, as well as a lower, deeper Center of Gravity for higher trajectory and more distance. A one-piece, injection-molded, lightweight visco-elastic insert covers the base of the clubhead and the perimeter of its cavity to help dampen vibrations. Progressively sized microcavities decrease in length from the long irons to the short irons to help increase distance, ballspeed and accuracy. The clubs also have Cleveland's Precise Laser Milled face texture, which increases surface roughness to help maximize spin.
  • With input from PGA Tour star Luke Donald and other elite players, the design goal of the MP-63 was to retain the iconic head profile for which Mizuno is known and improve the feel and versatility in a "player's" cavity. The MP-63 features an innovative 360-degree grind on the back cavity and sole for a pleasing look at address and ideal turf interaction, while modified U-grooves produce optimal spin rate in all conditions. Finally, the progressive player's cavity features a deeper cavity in the long irons for increased playability and a shallower cavity in scoring irons for control.
  • Forged from 1025 carbon steel with bright chrome plating, Titleist's MB irons feature constant blade lengths, minimal progressive offset and a thin topline for superior shotmaking. They feature a uniform muscle shape that provides more mass behind the impact area to achieve soft, solid feel, and this weighting also produces consistent launch angle, backspin and ball speed for more precise distance and shot control. The MB irons produce a slightly lower ball flight than the Titleist CB irons, and their classic design and traditional responsiveness should please even the most adamant enthusiasts of traditional irons. SRP: $135 per iron (steel) or $159 per iron (graphite)
  • Cobra's S3 Pro irons are designed for low-handicap golfers seeking improved control and workability. To produce that, this set flows from cavity-back clubheads in the long irons to muscle-back heads in the short irons. For the long and mid irons, the perimeter-weighted, cavity-back design promotes slightly higher launch and added forgiveness for consistently long and accurate shots. In the short irons, the muscle-back design provides optimal shotmaking and trajectory control. All the S3 Pro irons are forged from 1025 Carbon Steel, and feature a soft satin finish to reduce glare.
  • The TA7 Gunmetal irons are a throwback tribute to one of Cleveland Golf's most popular iron shapes. A simple cavityback is packaged with Cleveland's Microcavity design to remove weight from the top of the head and redistribute material lower and deeper. The combination provides forgiveness as well as improved launch conditions, even on off-center strikes. The TA7 irons come in the classic Gunmetal finish.
  • Multiple properties in each iron in the Burner 2.0 set are specifically engineered to promote distance. The multi-functional sole is beveled at the back to make it perform like a much thinner sole, which increases playability from a variety of lies, yet it also features a low and deeper Center of Gravity (CG) that makes it easy to launch the ball on a powerful and penetrating flight. Consistent CG locations in each head help optimize ball flight, and TaylorMade's Inverted Cone technology makes for faster ball speeds on mis-hits. SRP: $88 per club (steel), $113 per club (graphite)

Cobra's goal with the S3 Max irons was to make them even more forgiving, and with a higher launch to aid the games of mid- to high-handicap players. To accomplish this, the clubs feature a low-profile design that shifts the Center of Gravity low and back in the stainless steel head. A railed, powerback sole improves turf interaction for more consistency and power at contact, and the heads are designed to provide consistent and reliable distances from one club to the next.

Forged from 1025 carbon steel with bright chrome plating, Titleist's CB irons feature constant but slightly longer blade lengths and a softer topline for visual confidence at address.

A spinoff of KZG's Forged Evolution irons, the high-performance EC-II line is designed with features for the low-to-mid handicap player wanting a seamless progression through his set of clubs.

What sets the Grain Flow Forged MP-53 irons apart is an innovative CNC milled Pocket Cavity (in the 3- through 7-irons) that removes 14 grams of weight, which is then strategically redistributed around the cavity to achieve what Mizuno says is the largest sweetspot ever in an MP iron.

Cobra's new S3 irons feature E9 Face Technology, which creates a progressive "Sweet Zone" designed around the impact patterns of typical golfers.
